CAP's educational activities draw attention to the vital role that historic preservation plays across Wake County and beyond. Some recent events and programs include a 5k for Historic Preservation, Landmarks Tours of Garner, Cary, Wake Forest and other Wake County communities and travel programs to Savannah, Charleston, the Shenadoah Valley, and the James River Plantations among other locations. CAP also communicates the importance of historic preservation through the sale of Kelly A. Lally's book: The Historic Architecture of Wake County, North Carolina for wholesale and retail purchase.
